Our next performances happen June 20 and 21 at the The Black Creek Medieval Faire!
This summer, we’re pumped to bring our new portable, interactive production, THE FOX AND THE WOLF (AND THE CHICKEN) to Renaissance and Medieval Faires in Toronto and southwestern Ontario.
These family‑friendly events are the perfect place to soak up medieval and Renaissance vibes, including our show, which features talking animals, a very stupid wolf, inflatable clubs, and lots of audience interaction.
About the Play
Adapted from a silly 13th‑century dramatic poem, The Fox and the Wolf (and the Chicken) is a fast‑paced, light, fun talking‑animal story. It’s the story of a wily fox who roams about using his wits to find food and drink and the adventures he encounters along the way.
First, the Fox puts on his best fake doctor act and tries to convince a Rooster that all his hens are gravely ill. Of course, the Fox presents himself as exactly the physician they need. (Spoiler: he is not.)
Then, just when you think things can’t get sillier, the thirsty Fox falls into a well and gets stuck. His brilliant escape plan? Trick the Wolf into swapping places. Because nothing says “friendship” like a soggy fox and a very gullible wolf.
We need you to pull it all off! You’ll have to cluck to save the hens, make splashes, and we’ll need volunteers to clonk the Wolf (he deserves it).
